COMMITMENT TO CLIMATE PROTECTION

TRISA Accessories pursues a holistic climate strategy and has been awarded the “Product CO2 Footprint” label by Swiss Climate. This comprehensive label was developed in accordance with ISO 14064-1 and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
With our professional CO2 management, we are committed to measuring the annual CO2 emissions of our company and taking measures to reduce CO2 emissions. We focus on the sustainability measures with the greatest leverage effect. We focus on the following key areas:

FLIGHT BAN FOR OUR ACCESSORIES

We consistently avoid transporting our products by air, as air transportation produces many times more greenhouse gases than shipping.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY VEHICLE FLEET

Since 2016, TRISA Accessoires has been continuously replacing its company vehicles and field service vehicle fleet with electric cars or gas-powered vehicles, using natural gas and biogas as alternative fuels. These fuels cause hardly any pollutants such as particulate matter and emit far fewer nitrogen oxides than conventional engines. Vehicles that run on natural gas or biogas reduce CO2 emissions by up to 25 percent compared to petrol or diesel engines. Thanks to a decentralized sales force organization, our sales team only travels short distances to customers, which also significantly reduces the ecological footprint.

CLIMATE-FRIENDLY BUSINESS TRAVEL

For our business trips in Europe: train instead of flight. We travel by rail for less than 7 hours each way. This protects the environment and reduces our CO2 footprint.

SUSTAINABLE PROCESSES & INFRASTRUCTURE

PAPERLESS ORDER PROCESSING

Thanks to new software, TRISA Accessoires has digitized its entire order processing. This means that all communication, from ordering at the point of sale to the scheduling process in the warehouse, is paperless. By consistently eliminating the use of paper, we can save 2.2 tons of paper per year, which is equivalent to a stack the size of a large fir tree.

RESOURCE-SAVING LOGISTICS SOLUTIONS

Logistics and transportation are among the biggest CO2 emitters. We therefore see efficient, resource-saving logistics processes and optimized internal and external transport of goods as important components of our commitment to an intact environment. For the procurement of the various product ranges and the delivery of the goods to the stores, we work with proven partner companies that are committed to the responsible use of resources. Imports from overseas are carried out by sea. Air freight is avoided in favor of the environment.

THE SUN AS A SOURCE OF ENERGY

On the roofs of the TRISA Group companies, environmentally friendly solar power is generated on a collector area of over 4,000 m2 . TRISA thus produces around 680,000 kWh of solar energy with photovoltaics, which corresponds to the annual consumption of 140 single-family homes.

OIL-FREE HEATING

TRISA invested in a modern wood chip heating system back in 2013 and has been supplying various buildings in the village center of Triengen with sustainable heating energy ever since. TRISA Accessoires is also connected to the TRISA heating network and is supplied with district heating from the wood pellet heating system at a TRISA plant.

EFFICIENT BUILDING MANAGEMENT

For TRISA, holistic building management is generally the key to effectively optimizing energy consumption and ongoing operating costs. The entire infrastructure of TRISA Accessoires is controlled via a cross-plant building automation software. Systematic monitoring is used to constantly analyze energy consumption, identify weak points and determine potential savings.
The principle of energy-efficient construction is an important tool for reducing CO2 emissions. Trisa Accessoires has already implemented various structural measures to protect the environment. Further projects are being planned.
